Welcome to this space!

I am Amanda Miranda, Psychologist, Social Educator and Mediator who has been working with people for twenty years.

Ever since I was a child, I had a clear idea of working closely with people, helping them to find that much-needed space for health, accompanying them in their processes. That is why I decided to become a graduate in psychology, as well as a Gestalt therapist, a couple therapist, a social educator and a mediator.

I started my career working in different child protection centres, taking care of these young people on a day-to-day basis. It is very nice to see how your work is so important for their development in all dimensions of life. This also takes into account the relationship they have with their families of origin and the characteristics that make them special and vulnerable.

I have also worked as a Psychologist in a Technical Team attending to boys and girls in the Child Protection System and coordinating psycho-educational tasks with different organisations and orienting/supervising family relationships, either with their family of origin or with Collaborating Families or Preadoptive Foster Families.

Currently my work is focused on private practice. Finally, I decided to open my own private practice, where I help people to explore and understand their emotions, resolve inner conflicts and achieve greater self-awareness and emotional well-being.

My work is also located in an entrepreneurship centre, establishing a good network of support and coordination. I would therefore like to stress the importance of receiving help in the process of entrepreneurship, where you can grow professionally, overcome your fears and achieve your goals. It is also necessary to explore new professional possibilities and to have the capacity to adapt to new developments in the labour market.

Amanda Miranda Smartpsico

I belong to two Working Groups of COPAO (Official College of Psychologists of Western Andalusia):

  • Child and adolescent psychology working group, where we can attend to the different psychological, relational and family needs of the person’s developmental stage.
  • Assisted Reproduction Working Group, where the emotional health of the people involved in a fertility process is cared for, whatever stage they are at, dealing with uncertainty, failed attempts, changes in the couple’s relationship processes, perinatal grief or hormonal changes, among others.

The work as a psychotherapist is very comprehensive and covers many aspects of life. If you are going through a messy divorce, if you disagree about children’s issues or maybe you need to improve your relationship with your children, I can help you find the emotional tools to do so.

After completing the Gestalt Therapy Training, I now act as a tutor at the School of Gestalt Therapy, where I accompany the training group, which leads me to understand the different processes involved in group work. Therefore I can help you to understand how your past experiences may be affecting your current decisions and behaviours, and how you can find ways to overcome those negative thought patterns, from a relational perspective.

Terapia Gestalt

My therapeutic approach is based on a deep understanding of the whole person. I believe that therapy should be a safe and supportive space for people to feel comfortable and open to explore their emotions and thoughts in a respectful and non-judgmental way. I use simple language, and we work through different everyday situations, using a new vision of them. It is surprising how the way in which emotions appear changes when I see them from another, more neutral place.

If you are ready, if you are ready, I invite you to begin this process of exploring your emotions and working on your personal or professional growth, contact me and we will schedule an appointment to start your personal transformation process. I am here to help you!
