Welcome to this space!
I am Amanda Miranda, Psychologist, Social Educator and Mediator who has been working with people for twenty years.
Ever since I was a child, I had a clear idea of working closely with people, helping them to find that much-needed space for health, accompanying them in their processes. That is why I decided to become a graduate in psychology, as well as a Gestalt therapist, a couple therapist, a social educator and a mediator.
I started my career working in different child protection centres, taking care of these young people on a day-to-day basis. It is very nice to see how your work is so important for their development in all dimensions of life. This also takes into account the relationship they have with their families of origin and the characteristics that make them special and vulnerable.
I have also worked as a Psychologist in a Technical Team attending to boys and girls in the Child Protection System and coordinating psycho-educational tasks with different organisations and orienting/supervising family relationships, either with their family of origin or with Collaborating Families or Preadoptive Foster Families.
Currently my work is focused on private practice. Finally, I decided to open my own private practice, where I help people to explore and understand their emotions, resolve inner conflicts and achieve greater self-awareness and emotional well-being.
My work is also located in an entrepreneurship centre, establishing a good network of support and coordination. I would therefore like to stress the importance of receiving help in the process of entrepreneurship, where you can grow professionally, overcome your fears and achieve your goals. It is also necessary to explore new professional possibilities and to have the capacity to adapt to new developments in the labour market.
